#TGIF! Do you care about Amagansett (pictured above), and keeping it beautiful? We do. We also like to wear white, and sip rosé…so, the White Night With A Summer Splash Of Rosé event to benefit the Amagansett Village Improvement Society sounds like a win-win-win to us. It’s tomorrow from 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., at the South Fork Country Club. Details here.

Speaking of rosé…

Montauk can now lay claim to its first propietary rosé, the Montauk Summer Rosé, according to the East Hampton Press. The delicate pink wine — a blend of Syrah, Pinot Noir and Malbec — is the brainchild of Anneris and Mark Blair, Montauk year-rounders who wanted to make a wine that transported them to Southern France. We respect noble goals like that.

Long wait for Long Wharf

In other beautification news, the Long Wharf project over in Sag Harbor has been delayed. (Long Wharf is the iconic pier at the end of the village’s Main Street, where we imagine we’d dock our luxury yacht if we had one.) Restoration and renovation will not likely begin until 2018, according to the Sag Harbor Express. The village bought the wharf for a buck in 2011. It is home to Hamptons hotspot Le Bilboquet, which apparently turns away customers if they don’t have “a Hamptons look.”

Quick takes…

• Jill Lynn & Co., the jewelry shop in Southampton, would like to remind everyone that the lovely green peridot is August’s birthstone. “Those born with this stone tend to be very friendly and talkative,” the shop says on Instagram.

• Did someone say beach chic? Interior designers Jennifer Mabley and Austin Handler, who own Mabley Handler in Water Mill, have launched a Hamptons-inspired furniture line

Sam’s Beverage Place, the new family-owned convenience store in East Hampton that sells craft beers and other beverages, will have its grand opening par-tay on Saturday…

• The secret barn art show that we wrote about last week has been extended (perhaps because we wrote about it last week?) through Aug. 14…

• Gauntlet, thrown: The lifestyle site MyDomaine.com posits that Wölffer Pink Gin-and-tonic may best Aperol Spritz as the drink of summer…

On tap for the weekend…

• No more bad hair: Amika, the Brooklyn-based hair care brand, will be taking over the Bhumi Farms stand in East Hampton today through Sunday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day. There will be braids. The farm, by the way, donates organic produce to organizations that fight hunger…

• Celadon, the clay art gallery and shop in Bridgehampton, will open its juried show “Better Together” on Saturday, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Try not to break anything. #wineandcheese

• Gnarly gala, dude: Montauk Playhouse’s annual fundraiser will celebrate local surf culture, this Saturday at 7 p.m. “We will honor local artists and activists who have captured the spirit of this surf town in their work,” the playhouse says

• The Children’s Museum of the East End will open “An Invitational,” an exhibit featuring the work of over 55 East End artists, on Saturday, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. (Perhaps there will be less semiautomatic weapons at this event)…

Social Media Quote of the Day

“Welp that happened too quickly… August, linger for us please.” — Hamptons Baby Gear, the baby equipment rental company, noting on Instagram that the summer is flying by, dammit. Word.
