Joey Wolffer, the fashion maven who’s usually on the road with Styliner, a boutique-on-wheels filled with fringe bags, hand-painted bracelets and soft tees, is opening her first brick-and-mortar store in the Hamptons. The shop is set to open May 22 thru October at 25 Madison Street in Sag Harbor (pictured above), next door to Neo Studio, a mid-century decorative art store owned by Jean Yves Legrand.
Wolffer comes from a long line of entrepreneurs: Her maternal great-great-grandfather established Marks and Spencer (a.k.a. Marks and Sparks), one of the the leading retailers in the U.K. And her father Christian, of course, founded Wolffer Estate Vineyard in Sagaponack, which made us all addicts of rosé wine.
Wolffer, who is co-owner of her family’s winery, has another project this summer, too: She’s expecting a baby in July. Read a short profile of her in Elle magazine.
Did someone mention bourbon?
For those craving a chaser with your red meat: Townline BBQ in Sagaponack is hosting its first Straight Up Texas Bourbon & BBQ Night tomorrow (Tuesday). The evening will feature reps from Garrison Brothers Distillery, the first and oldest legal whiskey distillery in Texas (we sense the legal part of that is an important distinction), who will lead a “nose and taste” of two of its potent vintages. Eats include a raw bar, rib roast and apple rhubarb cobbler. (As noted, it is the summer of rhubarb.) Tickets are $111.29, as apparently it would be too complicated to make things a nice round number. We digress. Interested? Make a reservation here.
Mi chamber es su chamber
