So a few short weeks ago, there was much weeping and gnashing of teeth, including here at the Hampton Bee, when a snowstorm dusted the Hamptons in a blanket of white. See our roundup here of how local businesses responded to the inclement weather (there was a lot of grumbling).
Fortunately, this past weekend was a picture-perfect demonstration of what spring SHOULD look like: sunshine, azure skies and lovely blue surf. See above photo, which the Hampton Bee snapped at Indian Wells beach in Amagansett on Saturday.
Here is how the local business community responded to #spring on social media in the past 48 hours:
Babette’s (East Hampton)
This East Hampton restaurant shared this dining al fresco shot, and also hinted that many Bloody Mary’s were served.
Sunset Surf Shack (Montauk)
Don’t know about you, but we were wearing flip-flops all weekend. It is definitely sandal weather.

Balsam Farms (Amagansett)
This is Balsam Farms’ first Instagram of the Spring 2015 growing season. We look forward to more crops ahead.
Amagansett Chamber of Commerce (Amagansett)
The Chamber helped sponsor a Shoreline Sweep from Atlantic to Indian Wells to keep our beaches clean. Well done! The annual event was founded by Dell R. Cullum of Imagination Nature.
